Julia Elsey

Julia’s delight in nature and her extensive experience travelling and camping in Australia’s amazing outback inspires her Printmaking.  The seemingly simple, but in essence complex process of making collagraphs propels her to try new materials and printmaking methods.  A love of monoprints where not one picture is identical, ensures the continued excitement of creating images to express what is in her heart. While full of memories from the past and captured glimpses of inspiring places, Julia’s prints show her desire to connect the viewer to a higher place. A spirit of peace is evident in her work.  Julia believes that The Great Creator inspires her art and we are made in His image. Therefore, as artists, we have the capacity to pass His blessings on to others.  How lovely, to bring that peace and joy into a home.
